  First, I'm not fond of giving test to people your going to
  interview.  Although, I do understand the purpose of testing 
  their Linux/Unix knowledge. If your going to give a test, I suggest 
  making the  test easier and a little broader.   I would keep
  the test on same difficulty level as questions 1 and 2 of your
  test.  I
   would also ask some basic administration questions.  
   Here is a few sample questions to show you what I mean.

   A. What file would you use to associate the ip address 192.168.0.1
   with the hostname Kong   ?

   B. How would you find out how many processes are running on a linux
   box?

   C. How would you grant read only access to the world for a file
      you own called   info.txt   .   

   
   Actually question B might be a little on the difficult side.
