This is a letter I sent to the engineers we interviewed. Thought you should know.

I'm sorry I've been away from email the last few days. I'd like to get you up to date on our funding status.
Unfortunately not much has changed except that the days keep slipping by. We received a letter from the European source through our contacts in California on Thursday last week. The letter wasn't to Antera, but specifically addressed our status, along with other projects they are working. If I haven't already told you, our funding has been delayed due to tightened restrictions our government has placed on foreign funds entering the country. The route that the group in California used has become virtually unusable due to its location. As a result, the Europeans are working, as they said, "night and day with attorneys and accountants" to try and develop alternate routes into the states. Antera's funding is high on their list and something they are still very interested in funding. It's just become a waiting game.
One of Antera's principals is on his way to California for a face to face meeting with our funders at 2:30 PST today. Hopefully I'll know more after that meeting.
Until I get more concrete word on the funding schedule, I'm going to hold off on developing "offer" letters.
