Don,
We're working to get a formal offer from a bank in Amsterdam that brokers large investment deals between start-ups, and wealthy individuals/trust funds. They are interested in Antera, and upon initial correspondence think we've got a reasonable deal for them. It would involve $2M within 60 days, and the balance of the $5M in $500k chunks over 6 months.
... not sure if its going to go through, but it may help put pressure on some of the other guys that are 'dancing' around our funding proposition. It seems like the deep fear in the economy is loosening a bit, anyway.
Hennessy is working on a network of wealthy cardiologists
Tempo Ventures, A VC has some interest, but we haven't had any serious dialog yet.
A friend of mine at Quantum is representing us to a large Angel fund network
I'm meeting MaxOptix next week ( I hope) to try and get some of their $5.9M market development fund.
So, some things are brewing - much more in January than in December.
