I talked to a patent attorney today and he told me about a thing called a provisional patent. It is far less formal and provides us with a mechanism to document our ideas early in the process and it doesn't cost a fortune. A normal patent will end up costing in the neighborhood of $30,000 a provisional is $80. He also told me that investors are more likely to help us if they have some way of protecting their investment. So doing this will help us get funding. I have ideas for three possible patents that I'd like to discuss with you. Any chance we can get together this week or between Christmas and New Years? Let me know what your availability is.
