Team,

If you'd like, I can host the meeting at my place. I've got an office in the basement that's done enough to host a meeting (walls, carpet, lights, etc..) We'll need to figure out what to have for Lunch - pizza, maybe?

Directions:

a.. From the intersection of Wadsworth and 100th (not old Wadsworth, but Wadsworth parkway - hwy 121...)
  b..
c.. Take 100th avenue west to Independence. Its marked by a big brick wall and a sign that says "Westbrook"
  d..
e.. Go South (Left) on Independence, until the second street - 99th Avenue.
  f..
g.. Go West - (Right) on 99th avenue. Follow the street around to a stop sign.
  h..
i.. Go straight through the stop sign (at least slow down a little) and proceed down to 9727 - on the right side of the street.

Let me know if this will work for everyone.

Thursday - lunch is fine with me - been busy -- Robert went back to school yesterday - he was flying standby - so I spent a lot of time at the airport.
Monday was my birthday - didn't do too much. Will catch up with you at lunch.

Brian got the job. Thursday I'm available anytime. I guess I'd prefer a breakfast meeting, say about 6:00 am ;-)Lunch is probably best for me too. My home internet is still down, so it'll be hard for me to discuss the content of the whitepaper via email. Sorry for the confussion. I left with the impression that Paul would be willing to give us our initial round of funding, just not until January.Dan asked me if you guys would like to meet Thursday or Friday to discuss this stuff face to face. Anyone interested?-----Original Message-----From: Don jessup djessup72, yahoo dot comSent: Sun, 25 Nov 2001 21:44:09 -0800 (PST)To: antera, cryptofreak dot orgSubject: Re: Home I understand that Paul is ineterested and willing to help and I imagine his experience would beextremely valuable. I'm still not clear on a question that June asked. Do you really think Paul will be giving us money in January? This last e-mail make's it sound very unlikely. !

I think Paul is interested. He's asked for abusiness plan that he can present to his investmentgroup and to friends of his here in the states. Danand I have been working on it this weekend. I justsent him my stuff. THe plan is to get it back toPaul midweek this week. He sent Dan an email afterwe got back apologizing for not giving us a checkand offering to support us as we seek funding. We need to write some other things that I sure don'thave a problem with getting your help on. We need a whitepaper that describes the architectureand the two products DataExtender and TeraGuard(ARVM and ADML). We also need to start filing out patent forms. Thereis a bunch of information at
http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac/design/index.html
I figured on three patent attempts, The ability tocapture file activity for the purpose of providingintelligent data management (adml), The ability toprovide policy-based management of kernel andapplication software (portal), and The ability toutilize applications in a policy-based storagesystem (ITK). So if you'd like to start working on any of those itwould be helpful. We got to play on Saturday. We visted the Tower ofLondon, took a city cruise down the Thames toWestminster, heard Big Ben chime, saw Parlament, rode the tube to St Paul's, (went inside, but Danwouldn't pay to see the really cool parts) and thenrode the train out of Paddington station to Readingand on to Ditcot. Sunday we walked outside the hoteland saw W!
allingford castle (or what remains of it).It was right behind our hotel in Wallingford. On theway back from the meeting on Monday we drove throughOxford. Didn't eat any beef, but got to go out forIndian one night, oh boy.Have I ever mentioned that I hate computers? Iinstalled my wireless network this weekend. $75billion dollars and a day of work later, now I can'tplay network games, one computer crashes in netbuei, and my DSL won't work. What can we do to help untilthen?Did you get a chance to play at all in England. Ihope you did some fun things too, over the weekend. Dan and I got home around 5:00 tonight. While the trip wasn't exactly what we had hoped
for, it was still a
good learning experience. Dan and I came back with
a list of things to
get done, surrounding a business plan, getting a
whitepaper on the
technology and getting patents filed. I'm sorry you were in the dark while we were gone,
I thought Dan had
sent you something Monday, but I didn't see it
when I got home.
Monday we met with a guy that wanted to provide us
with a CEO and to
help us find funding. All he wanted in return was
a large sum of stock
and cash. We're going to try some other avenues
first.
We had a meeting with a technical/sales guy that
Barry knows on
Saturday. He thinks the products are solid ideas. Paul, whom we met with on Tuesday, also very much
likes what he saw.
He wants to put RAID controllers (that he already
builds and ships)
out on a fibre channel behind our IMU and wants to
stripe across the
controllers. That way he can loos a drive and the
controller will
protect the data and he can lose a controller and
we'll protect the
data. He has a lot of legacy hardware in the field
already and likes
the idea of being able to extend the life of it
with out solution.
Unfortunately, as I said from England, Paul won't
have his investment
money until January. He is also part of an
investment group that is
looking for something in Febuary. They may be our
big round of funding
after the initial bit from Paul. He also said he
knew people here in
the states that would be good sources for money.
Dan should be getting
conversations set up with those people in the
coming weeks.
